U.S.-based Sears, Roebuck and Co. entered Canada in 1952, partnering with the Canada-based Robert Simpson Company (Simpsons) to create Simpsons-Sears Ltd. At some point Sears had forged a partnership with the company and so began to carry their line of guitars.
